  • Milo Hamilton is Not Only "The Best Announcer" He is "An Outstanding Individual"!

    Milo Hamilton
Milo Hamilton Milo Hamilton is beginning his 24th season as the primary play-by-play voice of the Astros on radio.  He joined the Houston Astros organization in 1985!
    • In addition to making his resonant voice familiar to thousands of Houston baseball fans throughout the season, he also hosts the off-season live talk show "Astroline."
    • He has been broadcasting Major League Baseball since 1953.  His previous Major League experience includes stops with St. Louis Browns, St Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Atlanta Braves and the Pittsburgh Pirates!  He served as a play-by-play announcer of the 1979 World Champion Pittsburg Pirates!
    • The list of honors and awards are AMAZING in numbers as they started in 1962 and continues to grow even this year!
    • His first of FOUR Hall of Fame honors began in 1992!
    • Mr. Hamilton has helped raise more than $25 million for various charities as Master of Ceremonies at auctions.  Some of these charity events include but are not limited to, the March of Dimes, Epilepsy Association, City of Hope, American Cancer Society and Leukemia Society of America.
There is so much more to list but I would be writing forever!  In closing, I would like to say, "Thank You Milo for being an Amazing Man and helping so many others!  You are what helps make America Great!"
  • Houston Astros Verses the Atlanta Braves!

    Astros 8, Braves 7

At the Stadium of the: Osceola County Stadium Complex in Kissimmee, FL

What an exciting game I watched on March 19, 2008!  Shawn Chacon's performance was incredible and I believe earned him a spot in the Astros rotation. That night Chacon only allowed three hits and one run with four strikeouts in five innings of Houston's 8-7 win over Atlanta.

Try to catch a game if at all possible!  You will find the night games extra exciting as they have a fireworks show afterwards that will only add to the excitement of a Live Baseball Game!

Call Ventura Resort Rentals, Inc toll free (1-800-247-8417) for vacation accommodations within minutes of the Stadium!  This community offers 3 and 4 bedroom fully furnished townhomes that will make this an Extra Ordinary Event!

  • UF Swamps OSU to Win National Title

Forida Gators devoured the Buckeyes!  The scoreboard and millions of skeptics Monday night were shocked when the Gators beat Ohio State 41-14!  This is only the second time in the school has won the BCS National Championship Football Title!

There apparently was somthing to all that "Destiny in the Desert" talk Flroida fans have been spouting the past months!  Ohio State was a No.1 team and a lot of people said the Gators didn't deserve to be a University of Phoenix Stadium.  Most believed Michigan, which barely lost to Ohio State in the season's final game should be there!

All-American safety Reggie Nelson stated "We just got tired of hearing about it"!

  • "Orlando's holiday season will be a richer hue of red Sunday: Arkansas and Maryland are coming to town"!

Florida Citrus Sports picked Maryland (8-4) to play Purdue (8-5) in the Dec.29 Champs Sports Bowl, then paired SEC runner-up Arkansas (10-3) opposite Wisconsin (11-1) in the Jan.1 Capital One Bowl!  These are two teams and a group of fans that seem happy to come to Orlando and we are excited about them coming!

Can you believe it has been 23 years since Maryland has played in the Citrus Bowl?  Arkansas' last trip to Orlando was for the 1999 Citrus Bowl, which lost to Michigan in Houston Nutt's first season as Razorbacks coach.

The ticket allotment for the teams in both of these games is 12,000, and officials at Maryland and Arkansas said they believe they'll exceed that amount.  Tickets are available online at FCSports.com and through Ticketmaster.
